|Rear Extension, Withdean, Brighton|
Being similar to many existing homes, this property had been adapted and extended over the years, however not with an obvious master plan. The small sized kitchen and poorly sited conservatory required addressing in this detached house to bring it back to a usable modern family space.
The Practice worked carefully with the Client to produce a scheme that was suitably designed with the newly revised Permitted Development Rights in mind and a modern extension was achieved without the need for a Planning Application.
Internal areas were reworked and an open plan layout was adopted to integrate all rear areas of the ground floor including the redesigned and rebuilt conservatory.
Site orientation was used to maximum effect to illuminate and warm the new conservatory space feeding through to the kitchen spaces.
This project is nearing completion and some images will be uploaded soon.
